Geocache Description:

Located at the Green Sand Beach ***Cache container and coordinates, have been updated as of 2/17/06***

This cache was created by a Hawaii Preparatory Academy 8th grade student for extra credit in one of his classes. The location, contents and name of the cache was determined by the students.

It is almost a 2 mile hike to get to this cache. But it is well worth it. The Green Sand Beach found at the southern end of the island is a beach that is formed from the mineral olivine and is very green! Once you find the cache, be sure to either climb down the cliffs or slide down the sand to reach the beach. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen for this hike.
