I became bored with the numerous "micro" caches in the area. Though this concept is not entirely unique in the geocaching community, I thought it would be fun for all ages. You are searching for an "interactive puzzle". This cache is located along a newly constructed recreation trail in Pasco County. Hydration is key in Florida and this cache may need unlocking...
Did you know that a 2" cylinder, 4' long can hold approximately 2 gallons of water ...!? Did you know that the gopher tortoise gets most of its water from the plants it eats, but may also rely on static water sources...!? The men and women of the fire service use water to combat fire. The ability to control water flow and pressure can be critical during a fire. If you visit this cache during normal business hours or on weekends, I encourage you to also visit the fire station nearby. The firefighters are always willing to show the trucks, equipment and station to visitors and discuss fire safety. They have even been known to let kids (young and old) play with the lights and sirens....
