A walk on a good road to a micro hidden in a much larger object.
A newly rebuilt dike road between Oak Lake and Plum Lake. Birds can be seen on this journey all summer long. Ducks, red wing blackbirds, yellow headed blackbirds, grebes, geese and loons are quite common.
The site is right near the road, not water. You do not have to look under rocks, or move rocks. It is "not a rock". Look for something that doesn't belong here, pick it up and inspect.
