Team Scoobster, Frog Hoppin' and The Tardis Trio would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas by inviting the SA Geocaching Community out for the Annual Christmas Picnic.
We invite you to embrace the Christmas spirit and join the Geocaching community for an afternoon of festive activities. Come and reflect on the fun you have had Geocaching this year and delight others with your exploits. Bring a chair and the kids, along with your best Christmas smile to claim a smilie here.
Where: Penfold Park (Youth Park), Top of the Parade at Skye
(Due to now having to pay to hire the space previously used for the event and the feedback from last year about parking issues in the city, and given just HOW BIG this event now gets....we thought it would be best to move to a more easily accessible and user friendly location - only 10 minutes from last year's location !!!
When: Sunday 1st December 2013
Time: 11am onwards at the listed co-ords
Why not bring along a picnic basket or cook up a BBQ meal on the BBQ in the park, but it is a first come first serve basis.
The park has a wonderful large playground for the kids as well as tennis courts, room to run and hide, toilet facilities, ample parking, easily accessible bus stops and even a cache or two!.
We will be putting on fun and games for big kids and small kids alike, including FAIRY FLOSS !!!! Face Painting, Geocache games, Tug of war - with a traditional North versus South rally (with hopefully less cheating from the North than last year!!!).. and a few new surprises too :)
A SUPER Big thank you to Josie who has volunteered again to bring along the paints and brushes - much to the delight of the kiddies!!! Due to the high number of people that are attending, We would like to ask that face painting be reserved for children aged 7 and under only. Our wonderful face painter Josie barely gets time to spend with her family during the Christmas events due to the volume of faces (adults included!!) and we'd really like her to enjoy some quality time with her family this year. I'm sure you all understand. Thankyou
We are also hoping that the Jolly 'old Big Man in the red suit and his naughty Elf will be making an appearance again this year. So bring your christmas wish list !!
But most of all.....Come along and enjoy a day with your family!
