Geocache Description:

Hexagram series is back, do you miss that? Did you complete part 1 and 2 yet?
Part 3 of the series of "The Hexagram", this time we want you to use your own personal transportation tools, your pair of legs! This multi cache will bring you to peaceful and tranquil village, may not well known but scenic site.

Other caches in this series published to-date:

GC4C3A0: The Hexagram Part 1 -- The Bicycle (Reload)
GC189M1: The Hexagram Part 2 -- The Car

To find this cache, you don’t need any special vehicle or equipment, but highly recommended to wear a pair of good hiking shoes, full sun protective gears. This is a route around 17km/21km (to the cache/bonus stage) fairly flat terrain, no overgrown vegetation at all, but there are so many intersections/junctions and small paths in this district, you really need a good and latest map, Open Street Map (OSM) is definitely recommended, the GPS signal is good at most area, but some areas are out of reach of mobile network. It takes me 7 hrs to set up this cache, if don’t feel good or getting dark, you may exit after stage 3 and come back later to finish the rest. Unfortunately, there is only a few refreshment point, make sure you have prepared enough refreshment, especially WATER.
Notes:
  • All coordinates below are in WGS84 format DD° MM.MMMM'. You may have to bring a calculator to convert them to other formats if your GPS unit doesn't take this format directly.
  • Throughout this multi-stage cache, you will be guided to places where you will have to find numbers. With these numbers you will have to calculate coordinates to find the next stage. Example: You will be asked to find a telephone number which you discover to be 12345678. Let this telephone number be [a1][b1][c1][d1][e1][f1][g1][h1]. You are then asked to calculate the next coordinate as E114° [a1+4][c1-2].[b1][f1][e1]0'. Hence your next coordinate would be E114° 51.2650'

Stage 1
Go to:
N 22° 23.7110
E 114° 06.4950
You may find yourselves at a bus stop, look around, search for a pink information pole, with a large “i” on top, there are 5 blue plates below, indicating the distance to 5 different destinations,
Wang Lung: 160m
Ngong Tong: 637m
Chun Ha: [a1]0[c1]m
Sun Hoi Tin: [d1]8[f1]m
Ma Tong: 30m
About 10m away (go up), there is another bus stop, which is outside an abandoned government school, at there, you will find a green letter box of HK Post
The letter box number is: 2[g1][H1]

Hint:
Make sure you get enough refreshment there.
To get to the next Stage, consider follow the car road downhill, after around 300m, then you will find the entrance of a hiking trail at the opposite side of the road.

Stage 2:
Go to:
N 22° 2[a1+g1-1].[d1-a1][h1-f1+2][c1]0
E 114° 0[a1+g1].[g1][h1-f1][a1+d1+g1-1]0
You will find yourself at a small stone house, check around, you will find a CLP electricity meter,
the meter number: CLP9[a2][b2][c2][d2][e2]2.
Also, there is a green steel ladder, number of steps (horizontal bar) is [f2][g2]

Hints:
Climb up to the rooftop of the stone house, the view there is fantastic; post some photos at your log too.
To get to the next Stage, consider going back to the clear and concrete path before you reach the stone house and go east.

Stage 3:
Go to:
N 22° 2[b2-3].[d2-3][g2-d2][e2-f2-5]0
E 114° 0[f2+4].[a2+f2+4][[g2-b2][a2+1]0
Long hike, right? You should find a hut at the coordinate, take a rest, meanwhile, do you notice, there is a metal plate stating your location?
Your location: JK[a3][b3][c3][d3][e3][f3]
Look around, if you want to make an emergency call, a telecom set up a pole there, that indicate the nearest emergency helpline is [g3][h3]0m away

Hints:
If you are too tired or getting dark, you better quit there as there is at least 10 km ahead.
To get to the next Stage, a long hike is expected, maybe you want to take a shortcut, but make sure you get the latest map, as I compared the AFCD country map between 2002 and 2012 versions, some shortcuts had been removed, remember, safety always come first.

Stage 4:
Go to:
N 22° 2[a3-g3+1].[h3-1][e3][b3-f3]0
E 114° 0[b3-h3+e3].[a3][d3][b3-c3+3]0

Time to take a rest, you will find another hut there, this one is larger than that of previous stage, again, check the metal plate for your location:
JK [a4][b4][c4][d4][e4][f4]
Hungry yet? You will notice it is a BBQ site, count the number of BBQ stove in this area,
BBQ stove count: [g4][h4]

Hints:
Hurry up, 2 more stages to go, the route ahead is relatively easy and straightforward, scenic view is waiting for you!

Stage 5 - The cache:
Go to:
N 22° 2[a4-b4].[d4-g4+1][f4-e4][d4]0
E 114° 0[f4-b4+3].[h4][g4][[a4]0
Congratulations! You shouldn't have much difficulty finding the cache. The scenic view there is worth for the long hike, right?

After you had got the cache, you will notice that, at the 1st page of the log book, you will find the coordinate of the bonus stage.

Stage 6 - The Bonus Stage
Even though you have found the cache already, trust me on this. You DEFINITELY want to go here! You will regret later if you didn't.

You will find yourself in a peaceful and tranquil village, there is a store nearby, go inside and get some refreshment if you want.
Check the build year at the front of the store it is 19[z16][z17]
Outside the store, locate an electricity pole, there is a registration number there:
05[z18][z19][z20][z21]-0A-[z22][z23]

Write down these values and keep them safe for now. You will later definitely want to remember them!
Good luck & stay tuned for Part 4 of the Hexagram!
