Rhody's Cache is located somewhere within the grounds surrounding the Franklin Farm Community Garden. Geocachers and other visitors to the Farm should take care not to disturb the vegetable gardens and other plantings found throughout the Farm.
Rhody's Cache was created in honor of William R. "Rhody" Franklin, the last resident of Franklin Farm, which is now the home of the Franklin Farm Community Garden (www.franklingardenri.org). Rhody Franklin was a farmer and gardener, who maintained 65 acres of farmland that stretched out on both sides of Abbott Run Valley Road. The Town of Cumberland preserves Franklin Farm as open space. Rhody's Cache is located on the Farm a short walk past the Farmhouse. Depending on the time of the year, volunteers of all ages may be actively planting, weeding and harvesting the tons of produce ultimately donated to the local community food banks. Rhody's Cache is hidden from sight, but it is not difficult to find. The Cache is a regular size polypropylene container with a log book and various trinkets for trading.
