This cache was created as part of the Intro to Geocaching activity for the Springcreek 18th Ward Girl's Camp held at Bear Lake.
The Springcreek 18th Ward Girl's Camp out of Springville, UT wanted to try a new activity this year and we thought Geocaching would be something enjoyable and easy to do for all the girls. This cache was created and placed in a relatively easy location, off the road a bit. It requires only a little hiking in relatively easy terrain (watch out for cow patties).
The theme this year for Girl's Camp is: "Oh, The Places You'll Stand"; and the view from this small hill gives a sweeping view of Bear Lake and the beautiful surrounding country.
For those concerned, according to PublicLands.org, this area is definitely public land. It is used by private ranchers for cattle grazing but you'll notice the lack of any No Trespassing signs. Also, no crawling through barbed wire is necessary if you cross the cattle guard to the south. Good luck!!
