River Avon Walk - Grosvenor Traditional Cache

Moonjay: The River Avon Walk - Grosvenor cache was placed more than seven years ago in August 2014. At the beginning, it used to be a novelty container but as it kept going missing, we replaced it with a standard micro cache.

Sadly, after 112 found-it-logs, I have to archive it today. As I live too far away, I am no longer able to maintain this cache. I think 01/01/2022 is a good date to free up some space in the area.

Geocache Description:

This is a small cache near the banks of the river Avon just on the boundaries of the city of Bath. You can combine this cache with GC3BXG2 "River Avon Walk - Kensington Meadows" and enjoy a lovely walk along the river. The cache contains a logbook only and there is unfortunately no room for any swappables or trackables.

The cache is not in the river and it is not necessary to get wet to retrieve it.

We placed a cache here, as Kensington Meadows are a great place for walks, especially with geokids and geodogs. A bit further down the river on the opposite side, you'll find the Bath boating station and the bridge near this cache is a good spot to watch people practising their rowing skills. In theory this cache could also be approached from the river's edge. It is very close to the water, so you need to keep an eye on geokids whilst near GZ.
