Geocache Description:

The parking for the cache is just across the street in the park......... . N. 41-25.009 W.83-59.005. . The old road is practically deserted now, but careful crossing it anyway. I'm hoping they keep the work road here, because if they do I think this could be a good access point for a kayak or an inflatable boat. You could then go to the river or upstream to .....? Hopefully this would be in 2014.

This cache is in an area of old Rt. 24 that I never would have use before the road shifted location. This  old route is practically a ghost road now, and none too soon. This culvert is amazing. It's huge! The contractors have disassembled the old quarry stones that use to shore up the entrance, numbered them with a code, and are reassembling them now. They seem to be done for the year, however, as they have hydro seeded most of the work area. I suspect they will continue next year when there are more funds available. The huge old stones are piled up on the side of the road just waiting.   The cache box is a small soup size thermos. The plant around the box is Virgina Creeper, not poison ivy, but keep a lookout anyway I'll post a pic if it stops raining this summer and dries up some. .
