ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ
Στον Άγιο Στέφανο και στην περιοχή "κεραμιδαριά" θα δείτε τρία απο τα τελευταια στο νησί και τα λίγα που εξακολουθούν να λειτουργούν στην Ελλάδα, κεραμοποιεία.
Από τα ελάχιστα μέρη όπου η φράση "διαχείριση λάσπης", δεν εχει να κάνει με πολιτικούς αλλά με απλούς, σκληρά εργαζόμενους πολίτες!
Πηγαίνετε να δείτε πως ένα από τα παλαιότερα επαγγέλματα και μιά πανάρχαια τεχνη, εξακολουθουν να ασκούνται μέχρι τις μέρες μας.
Θυμηθείτε οτι κεραμικα βρίσκονται σε αρχαιολογικούς χώρους με ηλικία πάνω από 25.000 χρόνια όπως μπορείτε να δείτε στην Wikipedia
Κάντε το ! Μπορεί να είστε από τους τελευταίους που θα έχουν αυτή την ευκαιρία, μιά που η τέχνη χάνεται σιγά-σιγά και την θέση των κεραμικών κερδίζουν τα φθηνά πλαστικά ή τα άθραυστα μεταλικά δοχεία.
Τα εργαστήρια παράγουν μεγάλη ποικιλία κεραμικών, απο τα γιγάντια πυθάρια για λάδι μεχρι τα μικρά πήλινα κουμάρια για νερό.
Αν θέλετε να ζήσετε μιά ανεπανάληπτη εμπειρία γεύσης, κάτι που κανένας "Grand chef" δεν μπορεί να σας προσφέρει, πιείτε νερό από ένα φρεσκοψημένο τέτοιο κανάτι μια ζεστή μέρα. Δεν θα το ξεχάσετε ποτέ !

At Agios Stefanos area, at "keramidaria", you will find three pottery workshops that still remain in the place, maybe the last ones in the island and the few still exercising that "mud manipulating technique", in Greece.
No politicians I assure you, just hard working families of citizens !
Do it, maybe you will be of the few to have this opportunity, the technics are fading by the time, and cheap plastic or metal vessels are conquering this marvelous hand job.
Remember that, according to Wikipedia, pottery exists for more than 25.000 years BC!
Those workshops manufacture many types of pottery, from gigantic oil containers (pithari) to the smallest water pitchers (koumari).
If you have the opportunity to drink a glass of water from one of a fresh made pitcher you will taste one of the most unforgettable tastes of your life, especially in a hot summer day in Greece! Take my word on this !
