Geocache Description:

The small cache, one of 15 on an 8-ish mile circuit,  is located on the edge of a curious copse I shall call "bamboo wood", it is close to a lovely private lake which is worth a viewing and where no intrusion is necessary.

A TINY new cache as part of my Water series: to make up for the lack of view at Water-??View: this is close to  a most attractive lake location (the site of the fomer "Water-Idyll" Cache), where water fowl may be both seen and heard, and where, presently in JUNE the rhododendron bushes are simply beautiful. See picture in the GALLERY. The neraby view is of a very select & remote private lake/garden area - but no intrusion takes place or is neccessary, and you will need to walk at the ende of the filed to find the view I am referring to...I really do advise you to do so...

Betwixt the "hamlet" of Over Burrows and Nether Barrows on a footpath that is part of the Amber Valley Routeways "9". Despite this it is rarely trod in my experience. From Kirk Langley there is a footpath which is quite adventurous - by field-way - or there is also a path/trackway up to Netherburrows: where you will need to be thoughtful as to how you park.

Alternatively, you may park - again with care - at Over Burrows: having taken in the cache and dash: "My Tree Hide 4" and "Water-Idyll" is less than half-mile from here.

When walking to here, from Over Burrows: please keep to the edge of the field boundary and very shortly after you enter the curious "bamboo wood" you shoulod find the cache.

From Nether Burrows you will have to enter the farmyard (I have never had any problems in the many times I have been through here) the route of the footpath, and cross the field: depending on the planting of crops you may need to keep to the edge, presently JUNE 2013, there is a clear path "slicing" across the middle of the field, clear as anything - a rare thing on this circuit I can tell you. Then you will enter a little copse: which is quite a curious spot "bamboo wood", and the path goes down and up here: so be careful when it is wet/muddy etc. Then upon leaving the wood turn hard right, over the stile: again keeping to the edge of the copse and field boundary...to Water-Idyll,and those views...

On the day of placing it was sunny with beautiful rhododendrons on display. see gallery.

Not  a tricky find IF the gps behaves in here!

This area is not suitable for either wheelchairs or buggies etc. and very young children may find it hard going. The area is agricultural and may be planted or be grass...as it is currently. There could even be livestock at times: so dog-walkers take note: but this should not be an issue for anyone used to country walks!
