Geocache Description:

"R & R's Welcome to Sarigerme" has been placed as a reminder of a wonderful holiday in 2013 we had in Turkey staying with at our good friends Rachel & Richard at their apartment in Sarigerme with our other good friends Vicky & Mark. This is also where I introduced them all to my hobby of Geocaching.

You are looking for a screw top micro container about the size of a 35mm film pot. This cache can be done as a drive by and there is room for parking close by, or you can take a short walk from the village centre. Please leave covered as found.

Wheel chair user should be able to access this one, but there is a short gravel slope and the cache is at ground level. If anyone thinks this isn't suitable for wheel chairs let me know and I'll amend the rating.

Sarigerme is nothing like your typical commercialized tourist holiday destination, it has quite a unique and slow pace of life. Sarigerme is situated on the Mediterranean Coast, the beach and the tiny village provides an insight into the real cultural Turkey. The beach stretches around seven kilometers of coastline with clear blue seas.

From Sarigerme we visited the nearby towns of Ortaca, Dalaman, Gocek, Fethiye and Dalyan all within 30 minutes of the village. I have some very fond memories of our time here in the region.

Note: My friends who own property and visit regularly have kindly agreed to maintain the cache for me,
