Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.

This is our 25th puzzle hide!! I wasn't sure if anyone else would hide a puzzle cache for this event so I thought there should be at least one for the puzzle junkies. This is a very easy puzzle so you shouldn't have trouble solving it. The difficulty is because of the terrain to get to the cache. I hid it today in the rain so it was a lot worse to get to so if you go when it is dry it won't be so bad.

To solve the puzzle you will have to figure out some poker terms and slang for various poker hands which you should be able to easily find on the internet. You are looking for a camoed PBJ but if you can figure out the numbers that go with the various terms correctly then you will have the proper coordinates. Each letter has a single digit number (ie. 0 to 9) associated with it for each missing digit of the coordinates.

The actual cache coordinates are as follows:

N AB CD.EFG
W HIJ KL.MNP

A – If you had two of these together then you would have Speed Limit
B – Trey
CD – worst 2 cards in Texas Hold 'Em that you can be dealt (lowest card first)
EF – Oldsmobile
FG – Maxwell Smart
HI – American Airlines
JK – Crabs
LM – Can of Corn
M – Duck
MNP – Doyle Brunson won 2 World Series of Poker Main Events with this hand (lowest card first)

Also, the container includes a log book plus a bunch of sets of 2 cards taped together. Once you find the cache go ahead and sign the log book but if you also want to participate in the Poker Rally then please take one set of 2 cards taped together. Please take only 1 set from each cache container you find during this event this summer. Keep the cards but do not open them or try to peek at them and bring them to the Wrap-up Event on Sunday September 8. For event details see Related Web Page above (GC48T4K). At the event, the tape can be removed. Six cards were held back prior to hiding the cache and those cards will be shuffled and 5 of them will be used as the community cards (which are called the flop, river and turn) and then you will try to make the best 5 card hand you can using your 2 cards and the 5 community cards. Each cache is its own game and the cards are marked so we will know which cache they came from. I also marked 1 card as a prize card and if you get that card you will automatically win a prize donated by me. Feel free to find all of the caches hidden for the event but take only 1 set of cards from each cache. You can find the caches anytime up until the Wrap-up Event. Have fun!!!

P.S. This cache is hidden in the Whitemud Creek ravine and it is a little off the beaten path. I made a waypoint for the closest spot to park. From there, walk down the concrete sidewalk and enter the trail at the trailhead waypoint and walk NW from there (you will be going downhill for the first section). I could not find much of a trail into this one so just start bushwhacking after you get down the hill and when you are as close to it as possible from the trail (which is south of the creek). The bush isn't too thick though but I wouldn't recommend it for really young kids.
