The hills north of Lake Velence are so small that they might go unnoticed as you pass them on the highway M7 but they give home to several caches and now to a four-station multicache. We offer a nice tour from stone to stone, no booby-traps, no crosswords, no tree-climbing. On foot it is a 22-km walk, by bike a little more.
We went by car between the stops.
1st stop: Pandúr-szikla (or Pákozdi ingókõ) We wrote the directions to the next stop in a half-liter water bottle hidden under a tree. To get to the first stop: in the
village Pákozd take a turn north at Piedone pub. Follow first the red, then the yellow tourist sign or stay on the red and then follow the GPS (a path should take you there).
2nd stop: A real drive-in cache. Its only real interest is hat the 1st and 3rd stations were on military grounds so people knew only about this one. The directions can be found on the only place suitable for writing. You will have a nice view from here and from N 47.14.139 E 18.36.047 (Öreg-hegy).
3rd stone: Meleg-hegy, Likas-kõ (the stone with a hole). The directions leading to the last station can be found in a box under a stone. For those with a car take the road from Nadap to Lovasberény. A dirt road leads west at the highest point. Leave your car here (N 47° 15,9200' E 18° 36,0360)and walk following the blue bicycle sign and then the red triangle .
4th stop: For the easiest way, take the road from Kápolnásnyék to Pázmánd. When you reach Pázmánd there is a dirt road west. At first you won't notice but the red tourist sign starts here. Follow it all the way up the rocks to the cache.
