You are looking for a waterproof card case covered in camo tape. This is a sign only micro.
In looking at the Geocaching Map recently, I noticed that although there are an abundance of caches on the west or airport side of Boone Lake, there are very few on the east or Piney Flats side. This series will attempt to remedy that situation.
I found this area when attempting to log a FTF on a nearby island cache. Although I failed in my quest for that cache, I hid the first in this series that day. Now I have returned to hide some more.
I am posting parking coordinates for the access point to this area. You will want to do some homework before you leave to determine the driving route. Parking for two or three vehicles is at a gate beyond which motorized vehicles are prohibited.
Have you figured out by now that the caches in this series form a smiley face on the map? This is my first (and probably last) attempt at geo art. It involved a great deal of planning and two days spent stomping around in these woods finding hiding places. I hope you enjoy the series.
This cache is the smallest of the series, made necessary by the fact that it is hidden so close to the road. I named this one “A Speck in Your Eye” because of its size, and the fact that it is the right eye on the geomap.
A bonus cache is hidden that will be accessible only to those who have found numbers one thru eight in the TOSOBL series.
