Legendary Wild Bill Hickok was shot by Jack McCall while playing cards in Saloon #10 while holding a hand of aces and eights, thus it is known as the deadmans hand. Wild Bill is buried in the Mount Moriah cemetery in Deadwood. A must stop if you are touring Deadwood.
