Thunderbirds - Danger at Ocean Deep
The “Thunderbirds” was a television series created in 1965.
It featured the Tracy family living on Tracy Island and working for International Rescue.
Between 1965 and 1968, 32 episodes and two feature films were produced.
This cache series uses the names of these episodes and feature films.
Some caches use a code based on the Thunderbirds to mask some of the coordinates. You’ll need to do a little bit of research.
Danger at Ocean Deep - Season 1 Episode 19
When the Ocean Pioneer tanker mysteriously explodes, Brains and Lady Penelope investigate.
They discover the cause to be a chemical reaction between the cargo of liquid alsterene and OD60 found in the sea off Coochiemudlo Island.
International Rescue set out to save the crew of the ill-fated Ocean Pioneer II.
I took some poetic licence and set the episode on sleepy Coochiemudlo Island.
I hope you like the setting. It's a good place to rest if you've gone after the other caches on the island.
The walk-on ferry will cost you $8 return. No need to bring your car over (the car ferry costs $50). Locals tip: You may work out that you can actually walk on the car ferry and pay less than $8 but it's not as comfortable.
