The Butterfly

Flitting across the grass so green,
Nine aside upon the team.
Dandelions mark her trails,
As cross the diamond she sails.

Little ones are quick to chase,
Another player across home base.
Three now out so change at bats,
And the world turns at Ferguson Flats.

Through the gate the world spins slower,
Into the trees safe from the mower.
Alone her flutter gently slows,
She will rest before she goes.
