Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com!

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, nor did you post a note to your cache page telling me and others of your intention to address the issue with it, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Geocache Description:

Sméagol

Sméagol  was a Hobbit of Stoor-kind who lived on the banks of the Anduin in the later Third Age. He was an inquisitive Hobbit who was interested in roots and beginnings. He had once been a member of the secluded branch of the early Stoorish Hobbits. He spent the early years of his life with his extended family under a matriarch, his grandmother. On Sméagol's birthday, he and his relative Déagol went fishing in the Gladden Fields north of Lothlórien. There, Déagol found the Ring after being pulled into the water by a fish. Sméagol wanted the Ring and murdered Déagol and took the Ring. He was eventually exiled by his people, and crept into the roots of the Misty Mountains, where he became the creature of the dark better known as Gollum.

Modern Smeagel

Smeagol is a genus of small air-breathing sea slugs of the upper intertidal zone, pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Otinoidea. Smeagol is the only genus in the family Smeagolidae. This family has no subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). The name of the genus is in honour of Tolkien's fictional character Gollum, who was originally known as Sméagol. There are five described species and potentially one undescribed species from Tasmania in the genus Smeagol.
