The summer is here! The summer is here!
It’s that wonderful time of year when we splash in the water, float along the banks and eat chicken salad sandwiches all day. Yumm!!
Unfortunately, it’s also the time of year when many people come out to line those said banks with beer cans, popped inner tubes and other leftover evidences of their careless boating along our waterways. Don’t you just hate that??
So let’s do our part to help clean up what others trashed in.
We’ll collect trash off of the random islands along the James. Since access is not so convenient, the park attendants and boating officials seldom get a chance to make sure all is well in these spots. Let’s do our part to help them out and give back for the chance to play here.
We will supply trash bags for collection.
We will collect starting around 11:00 am and should be finished by noon time.
