You’re looking for a small camouflaged container with a screw off lid about 5” tall in the woods just down the street from Wenzler Park, owned by the City of Kettering. If you park along Ackerman Blvd, just north of Lincoln Woods Ct, you’ll be closest to GZ.
Please realize our coordinates are the best we could deduct with our little smartphone gps (we took several readings and compared to google maps; please advise if they need adjusted).
As we were scouting out hides in city parks, we passed by these woods. My first question, wondering if the woods were privately owned, was “Whose woods are these?”. Hubby proceeded to quote Robert Frost’s poem, beginning with “Whose woods these are …” So we found our title right then and there. We’re including the entire poem for anyone interested.
Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
