Geocache Description:

Ever since I did ipodguy's "Yes, Master (GC2CGAJ)," I've been looking at ways to fiddle with the locked cache puzzle idea. This is what I was able to come up with. ;)

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.  To find the cache, you must hitch a ride on ipodguy's tour bus as he does his "Locksmiths of America" Nationwide Tour.

Security is at all all-time high these days, with threats of terrorist attacks and the like, so agents at the major landmarks listed below have called upon ipodguy to come and give tutorials on how to batten down the hatches.

For anyone who knows ipodguy, you're already well aware that he would not be content simply driving around the country speaking to the masses in convention centers... he wants to get outdoors and explore, and of course, cache!

As you ride along to each new location, you'll need to note two important things:

1. the number on the map of each state you stop in.  Put all 15 together in order and you have the cache coordinates.

2. How many moves you made N, S, E or W from state to state to get to each landmark (each move through a state is a part of the combination).  You will need this to open the cache.

The tour departs from Plymouth Rock on September 1st.

September 2 "How To Keep Your Lock From Rusting" - Niagara Falls

September 3 "Sometimes The Best Security Is Having A Light On All Day" - Cape May Lighthouse

September 4 "How To Drill Into A Lock Without Cracking The Metal" - Liberty Bell

September 5 "Protecting Those Who Protected Us" - Arlington Cemetery

September 7 "How To Keep Horses From Breaking Out" - Kentucky Derby

September 8 "They Should Put All Country Music In A Box And Lock It Up" - Grand Old Opry

September 9 "This Is The World's Biggest Door, And They Leave It Wide Open?" - Gateway Arch

September 11 "Plastics Beads Should Not Be The Key To Unlocking Your Virtue" - Mardi Gras

September 13 "Don't Have A Key? Shoot The Door Down!" - The Alamo

September 16 "Sometimes You'll Need Nicholas Cage To Crack The Lock For You" - Mt. Rushmore

September 17 "Don't Drop Your Keys Down That Drain!" - Old Faithful

September 18 "Why Am I Here?" - National Potato Museum

September 19 "Using Tall Structures To Pick A Lock" - Space Needle

September 21 "It's Not Really Made Of Gold, So Why Lock It Up?" - Golden Gate Bridge

September 22 "Grand Theft Auto @ The Grand Canyon - How To Protect Yourself" - Grand Canyon

I know nothing about the nearby dirt road, I ended up parking at the end of a residential road and hiked down some nice trails to GZ. Choose your route wisely.

Your combination answers should total up to the following: North 4 times, South 8 times, East 1 time, and West 8 times.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.

My philosophy of Geocaching is that a hide should either be
A. Unique,
B. A Cool Location,
or C. a Combination of both
So I'm providing a slightly biased rating as to where and why I placed this cache:

70--------------------30

And, as always, if you enjoyed your experience, feel free to throw a favorite point our way so others will want to join in too! Thanks! :)
