Geocache Description:

Alsume's 23rd cache brings you to the first of three caches we have placed at Jack Roper Reserve, 217 Camp Road, Broadmeadows. This is a large park with lots of facilities, including three playgrounds with a Liberty swing, BBQ and public toilets, a large lake, one soccer field and ample parking.  In June and September every year about 300 trout are added to the Jack Roper Reserve to enhance the number of fish.

The name of the cache was originally to be Swan Lake, but every time I have been here the geese have had the numbers by a large margin, so Goose Lake it became. Ducks and moorhens, although not as striking in stature as the geese and swans are also prolific in this park.

The cache is similar in size to a bison tube, camouflaged to fit in with its surroundings. Please note that this park can have a very high muggle factor at different times, particularly in the warmer months, so you will need to be stealthy, and to replace the cache exactly where you found it or it will go missing.

Hope you enjoy Roper Reserve.
