Sesquicentennial Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is being hidden on WV's 150th Anniversary of statehood.
This is an especially good place to hide a cache because there are many people in the area who were influential in WV's history, especially in the Charleston area.
While this cache was being hidden - the 1st day of a 3 day celebration was being held on the State Capitol grounds.
The area where you pull off to park will give you a great view of the prominent structure that adorns the capitol grounds. (please don't post pics of this so others can see it for the first time - at least from this vantage point, when they get there!)
Please park in the small pull off across from where you see the name Birch. When going for the cache don't go from the road - wrap around past the table.
If you are so inclined - please state in your log what you love most about WV!
The FTF prize is 150 cents.
Happy 150th West Virginia!
UPDATE 8/13/23: There is a new, larger container that is WV and red, white and blue themed for trading purposes!
