kzooOtters: Yes it's missing again. This one had run its course. I've replaced it too many times over the years. Time to archive. Perhaps someone new will be able to place a fun cache here. Thanks to all those who took the time to find this geocache. On to the next geocache!
TODAY'S ADVENTURE:
I awoke in Kalamazoo. TheCFO left me this week. She's on a business trip in Georgia. I tried to tag along as I always like a chance to work remotely myself. It's a short trip and I had come conflicting plans so it didn't happen. Hopefully I'll be able to tag along on the next Atlanta trip.
I had a productive morning at the Ponderosa. It was partly sunny today. The temps were in the low 80's and I'm glad there was as much cloud cover as there was. Were there less clouds, I think it would have been a lot hotter. There was a breeze but it was a warm one. The other plus today was the low humidity.
I needed two specific geocaches for challenges I'm working on. I could not find a chance to check off both boxes, nor were there two caches in the same area that would work. I opted to just work on one of the challenges. I also had time and a need to check on several of my caches that had reported issues. I was able to check on 7 of my geocaches. I opted to archive two of them. One cache was just as I placed it and not missing as reported, sweet! Three others were reported to have log issues. I was able to check on all of them. Not a bad maintenance run today on my way for a target geocache.
Travel from the Ponderosa to my target geocache in Grand Rapids was great. I was on back roads all the way up there and it only got busy for s short stretch of M-37 in the top end of Caledonia. It was short lived. I found the cache in fine order and took the most direct route home. Over to 131 and S/B. The short stretch of 131 in Kent County was slow and steady with the construction. As soon as I was through the construction it was back to normal speed. I stopped in Plainwell to grab dinner. The joint I picked is closed today and tomorrow, Drat! I stopped by the grocery store and picked up stuff to make dinner.
All in all it was a pretty good day. I got things done at the Ponderosa, I completed a significant and needed maintenance run, got a daily geocache, and made dinner. Hopefully I can get a few more things done tonight before an early bedtime. Time will tell.
Thanks to the CO for placing this fine geocache for all to find. I also want to thank the past finders that let me know there might be a problem with my geocache. With the fine today, I'm able to keep my daily geocaching streak going one more day. I was also able to check off one of the open boxes relating to the many challenges I'm always working on. Thanks for adding to my adventure and for helping me to play the game within the game. TFTC
