Geocache Description:


This area is a cut through for the local school and cemetery. Many years ago I used to go to school here. A row of poplar trees and a small woodland planted in 1999/2000 separates Barretts Recreation Ground ("The Barretts") from the area that was the Grimsby swimming pool aka "Scatha Baths" now no longer there. There is a play area not far away built in 2010, tennis courts and a bowling green. The football pitches no longer seem to be in use but the green space is used for dog walkers and families. Note: This cache is only accessible when the cemetery is open. Probably best avoided at 8-9 am and 3-4pm when the school children are arriving & leaving.
