Lazy 5 Park starting at 1pm on Sunday July 28th.
Moo-Shoes and Monkey-Qs is going to be a BBQ with a horse-shoe pitching contest.
The BBQ will be semi potluck style, so please indicate if and what you can bring
in your "will attend" log.
(see needed items, and suggestions below)
Check in and BBQ will be starting at 1pm.
There will be food and games as long as there is food and people.
First, the games:
--There will be a Double Elimination Moo-shoe (horseshoe) pitch off for anyone who wants to play. There will be prizes for ringers, and prizes for the winning team... all prizes will be geocaching related!!
--There will also be other games for folks who don't want to play Moo-shoes, some of these games for the kids, and some for all ages. At the time of posting we have magnetic lawn darts, bad minton, water guns and water balloons (please CITO).
--I have been told that the waterpark at Lazy 5 will also be open on this day.
--There are also a few caches in this park, and all of them are really good, especially for folks just getting into the game. This park is where I started making my first finds, and I recommend it to anyone who is getting started. There is an Unknown type, a Multicache, a few traditionals, and i will have a letterbox publishing very soon.
Next, the BBQ:
I will be providing the grill, hot dogs, buns and common fixings (mustard, ketchup, etc)
Anything else is up to the folks who are attending.
Some needed/suggested items are:
--Salads of some kind
--Deserts of some kind
--Plates, napkins, plasticware
--Soft drinks, tea or koolaid
--Watermelon
--Any other items that you think will make the BBQ fantastic!
Please note that as of time of this posting, I am NOT reserving a pavillion for this event. If enough people click "attend" in advance, I will, and will let everyone know if I do. So Please bring your own chairs/blankets, or other sitting device. Also, this is a BYOB event, so if you are planning on drinking please pack-in and pack-out your own beverage.
This event is for ALL GEOCACHERS!
and is a NO DRAMA event.
Geocachers of any and all skill level are welcome (from zero finds to a million finds) to attend... In fact, I am HOPING that a lot of new folks show up, it will be nice to swap stories and see some new faces. This is going to be set up as a fun and relaxing day in the park, and there is no requirement to partake in any games or BBQ to sign the log. Just show up, swap stories, and have a good time.
