Et sted ud ad den gamle Esrumvej ligger et skarpt sving. Under besættelsen kørte en mandskabsvogn galt her, sikkert på grund af for høj fart og manglende kendskab til området. Lastbilen blev smadret, og de arme soldater fik skrammer og knubs, men slap dog fra det med livet i behold. Selvfølgelig slap historien ud til stor moro for lokalbefolkningen. Stedet fik derved sit navn "Gestapo svinget".

Du skal nu finde svinget, der er tegnet ind på Luftwaffes luftfotokort fra 1944. God fornøjelse.




English:
If you go along Esrumvej you will meet a very sharp curve. During the occupation of Denmark in the Second World War a German truck crashed here. Probably because of high speed and not enough local knowledge. The truck was totalled and the poor solidiers were battered and bruised but survived. Of course the story spread locally. From that day on the place was known as "The Gestapo Curve".

Now you must find the curve which is marked on the aerial maps of the Luftwaffe from 1944. Enjoy.
