Geocache Description:

Second in my series of views of the local Area ,that you may not have seen from your walk along the trail close by.  This cache can be combined with others along the south west coast path, parking near the ferry bridge inn or the bridging camp.

Access can be gained from the south west coast path down to the waters edge not accesable by wheelchair and maybe difficult when wet, also caution to be taken when tide is in even though cache is above the high tide mark. Once at the location you will found a small shingle beach close by, i often come here and sit at this location with Jake my trusty geocaching dog and watch the world go by, thinking how good it would have been to watch them practice the bouncing bomb along the fleet in preparation for the dam- busters raids. You are looking for a small clip lock type box, it is big enough for small swapables and trackables, it contains a log book but please bring your own pen. Careful re hide the cache in the same postion and hide well. Placed with permision of natural england The Fleet is an important area for breeding and over-wintering sea-birds, wildfowl and waders. Please enjoy your visit but keep disturbance of the birds to a minimum by keeping out of the water and keeping dogs under control. Adjacent areas have cliff vegetation and grasslands which will be spoiled by enrichment from dog mess so please bag it and bin it. For more information on the site please visit www.chesilbeach.org or www.naturalengland.org.uk."
