Geocache Description:

A special cache at the Yuen Tsau Tsai shoreline.

This is a one-stage multi, the final is less than a couple hundred meters away. Final is a small sized container, can contain some trade items and travellers.

When the Tide is Right!

This cache is the second incarnation of this contraption; the construction of the first one broke down after about nine months. The construction has changed, hopefully improved, so it can last a lot longer.

It is a tricky cache, related to the tides. You have to visit it when the tide is right, otherwise you won't be able to find the starting point, or retrieve the coordinates of the final.

Yuen Tsau Tsai and Island House

The cache is located at the shores of Yuen Tsau Tsai, a small island just off the shore of Tai Po in Tolo Harbour. It is now connected to the mainland by a causeway, built there to facilitate access to Island House which was built there in 1905 as the residence for the first British Police Magistrate appointed in 1898.

Currently the house is occupied by the WWF, and used as nature research centre, and it is a declared monument. Unfortunately it is not normally open to the public.

Near to the cache is also a small roadside temple, see waypoint "Temple".

Depending on the tide, at times the starting point will be really easy to find, at other times it will be impossible to find. However getting the coordinates to the final location... that's a whole different story.

~~~ LOGS WITH SPOILERS WILL BE REMOVED! ~~~
So no photos/descriptions of the cache etc.
Important: bring a tool, such as an adjustable spanner or a regular 24 mm (15/16 inch) open-ended spanner. You will need it to retrieve the coordinates at the starting point. Also when closing the cache again, screw the cap in completely, then unscrew it by half a turn to prevent it from getting too stuck.
The final is a small container, T3/D1.5, and should be a straightforward find after getting your hands on the coordinates. Listed rating is for the first stage. The first stage also contains a (ROT13 encrypted) hint to help you find the final.
If you have a problem finding the final, you can view a spoiler photo at http://www.squirrel-systems.com/GC4EQ46/N22-26-763-E114-10-766.jpg. This file name is made of the coordinates of the starting point - replace these coordinates with the final location's coordinates to see the photo!
Safety first! At GZ there are many rocks, mostly overgrown with sharp shells. The ground is also littered with sharp stones and shells. Proper footwear is a must, tread carefully, and only attempt this cache when the weather is good.
