Geocache Description:

Quick cache and dash but stealth and a little rummage may be necessary.  The cache has a selection of treats for adults or kids - please replace with a similar treat to keep the cache of a nice quality and enjoy the park and a quick journey over to see William Booth College.

Accessible by bus and train (Denmark Hill).

A fairly simple cache and dash experience.  High muggle presence so stealth required.  This cache is the second in a caching series which follows us as we live and work in different places.  This one is across the road from the college that I currently study and live in.  William Booth College was built by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott the architect responsible for the Battersea Power Station, Tate Modern Building and the iconic British Red Phone Box and is certainly worth a visit.  The top of the tower (visible from the cache when the trees are not in leaf) is the same height above sea level as the tip of St Paul's.  Trips to the top of the tower can be arranged.  There is a heritage centre too which is open daily to the public.  Both these activities are free.  Just walk up the majestic entrance and ask the receptionist for details.

Ruskin Park has a great heritage too and is a beautiful spot to stop or explore.  There is a children's play area, sport facilities and plenty of space to walk your doggy.  There is even a cafe run in the spring and summer adjacent to the play park.  The band stand often has local music and church services are done here in the open air on various occasions during the year.  There is place to feed the ducks and relax.  For little boys who like transport this park is perfect, buses and emergency vehicles can be watched from the perimeter, the train line runs alongside the play park and if your lucky you might even spot a helicopter as the air ambulance often lands in the park as it is the official landing place for King's College Hospital which is also adjacent to the park..  A really great place to spend a few hours and pick up a couple of caches too.

Have Fun!!!!
