Los mineros han trabajado duro, tenía muchas dificultades y a veces han arriesgado su salud, hasta sus vidas. Ellos han aportado una parte importante de la industrialización.

Anteriormente, las condiciones de trabajo eran muy difíciles y había pocas protecciones. La salud y el bienestar de los trabajadores fue considerado poco importante.
