Geocache Description:

On a walking track that runs the length of the town along Lake Victoria (or used to). The track has direct access to the lake via steps to a lovely spot that we bring our geohunds to swim. A lot of cachers are reporting this as "an easy find for the kids" and similar. We would like to point out that this is NOT an easy find - but there IS a decoy that is...

A lot of cachers are reporting this as "an easy find for the kids" and similar. We would like to point out that this is NOT an easy find - but there IS a decoy... The decoy USED to be identified as such by a "close but not quite" message. We assume that this message has gone and people are logging the find of the decoy, thinking it is the cache. If you just 'find' a tube container here, keep looking because the cache is in a flat rectangular container. The town has an abundance of wildlife including hog deer, wallabies, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas, black swans and many other native birds. We have seen dolphins in the lake and whales and a seal at the beach. What's that in the sky??  It's a bird, it's a plane, no it's superman - well no actually it is a Loch Sport mozzie carrying an unsuspecting visitor.  Have a good weekend and bring your choice of insect repellent but make sure its a good one.
