According to Wikipedia and other sources, on June 28th:
1846 – The saxophone is patented by Adolphe Sax in Paris, France.
1894 – Labor Day becomes an official US holiday.
1919 – The Treaty of Versailles was signed in France, ending World War I.
2007 – The American bald eagle was removed from the endangered species list.
