Geocache Description:

This is a part of my series for fellow geocachers to find caches throughout Loxton's district. This is an easy way for a tourist to come and explore Loxton. Loxton is a very friendly town that has a significant German heritage. The names of the locals reflect this.
You are looking for a film canister behind a white rock.

East Tce is Loxton's main street, starting from the roundabout with 5 dual carriageway roads entering into it. It ends overlooking the river, with its newish pontoon (when the flood allows it to be there, anyhow).
This cache will be best done on foot, once started. Find a car park somewhere along the street, and prepare for a walk from one end, to the other. Please note, however, the walk back to your car will be a little uphill. I reckon it could take you less than 30 minutes if in a hurry. Better to spend more time to take in the history, though.
The information is all readily available on various information signs placed along the street.

The cache is located at:
S   34 FJ.HEC
E 140 AB.LDK
Your 10 letters come from these clues:

From the starting coordinates, how far is Paruna?   AB

Now walk to the Tourist Information centre and pick up the brochure Loxton's Historical Walk.

Then, walking down the wide grassy median strip of East Tce, you will notice a shoe store next to the pizza bar, owned by a family with an unusual name. How many letters in their name?   C

The fountain near the library was opened by Dame Roma Mitchell on what day in July 1991?   D

Which year this millennium was the fountain restored by Arch Altschwager?  E

Which year in the 1920’s was The Corona Theatre opened?   F

Which year did AWR Drabsch lay the Loxton Institute’s foundation stone?   G

The Rotunda is the District’s tribute to those who have fallen in the wars. On the walls are plaques commemorating these people. One in particular commemorating the Great War mentions 13 names; a number of these names are still prevalent in the district. One name is on it’s own at the bottom of this plaque. How many letters in his name?    H

“Skinny” and Albert Hameister opened a General Motors dealership and garage in what year in the 1920’s?   J

Loxton Hotel’s first lessee was George Whitcomb. How long was his first lease?   K

At the end of your journey there is a white concrete memorial to Captain Charles Sturt. With his band, he rowed past the end of East Tce (as it is now) in which year in the 1830’s?   L

Addit: Where the cache was placed has now been removed by the Council after a big storm. Go to this spot. Look South. About 40 metres away you will see a wall with a plant growing over it. Look for the cache hidden at about chest height behind a white rock.
Enjoy Loxton, and enjoy your caching.
The Council has recently re-landscaped. We will begin to look for a better/closer hide now that they have finished.
