I have always wanted to explore the 'top of the ridge' when driving the Federal Highway along lake George! Well, today I did just that. Most enjoyable! And to celebrate - I have hidden two caches!
This one was the first. Now, a word of warning. This road may not be suitable for all 2wds, and certainly NOT in the wet! In a SUV or above - no problem. Secondly - DO NOT ATTEMPT this from the Federal Highway! - There is NO ACCESS, and it is WAY TOO STEEP!
And one final warning! Some of the farmers that live along this road think that it is theirs! THIS IS A PUBLIC ROAD - but some of the farmers, will suggest otherwise. If they ask you - tell them that you were looking for a nice spot to take a picture of the fabulous views over Lake George! Having said all that - happy hunting!
