Geocache Description:

This is the second in a new series of caches in and around any kind of venue where a form of golf can be played.

You are looking for a micro container that contains, and only has room for, a log book so you will need to bring something to write with and maybe something to help remove the log book from the container.

Army Golf Club - Aldershot.

The club opened in 1883 as Aldershot Divisional Golf Club at Rushmoor Bottom.

It went through four name and three location changes before settling on its current names and location in 1974.

Year Name Course location
1883 Aldershot Divisional Golf Club Rushmoor Bottom
1895 Aldershot Divisional Golf Club Smallshot Hill
1897 Aldershot District Golf Club Smallshot Hill
1903 Aldershot Military Golf Club Smallshot Hill
1904 First Army Corps Golf Club Cove Common
1907 Aldershot Command Golf Club Cove Common and Laffan's Plain
1974 Army Golf Club Laffan's Road, Aldershot

As the name suggests. the club has military origins but it is open to all and for anumber of years has had a predominantly cilivilian  membership.

Congratulations to SJU91 & Goldey36 for being FTF!
