Geocache Description:

A cache reflecting the changes in transport over the years.

This cache is located near to an old piece of road where ample parking is available.  There are three bridges here.  The modern road bridge carrying two lanes of traffic would have been built in the 1990's when the road was upgraded.  The second bridge is very typical of the older roads and bridges on the island and would have been a single track road with passing places.  The third bridge is a footbridge and although this one is fairly modern, in parts of the island there were no roads and transport was along footpaths over hill and moor.

The cache is placed at the footbridge and is well away from both the main road and also the river, Abhainn Scaladail. The cache difficulty has been raised from 2 to 2.5 which reflects that it not a straightforward find but needs a careful look to locate.
