Geocache Description:

This cache is a shoebox size plastic box with a log and quite a few trade items.  It is located about a mile from the west entrance to Green Mountain Park off of Rooney Road.

The trail is fairly level and was easily completed by the 3 kids aged 6-10 that helped create this cache.  The trade goods are a fun mix of toys collected over the years that we found in the bottom of the toy box during a recent move.

The section of trail from the parking lot to the cache is my favorite on Green Mountain.  For about 2 weeks a year there is the most beautiful wildflower display.  The rest of the year one wonders why it is called "Green" Mountain.  This is a fantastic section to mountain bike and there are many bikers that take advantage of the rolling terrain and relative lack of rocks to really pick up some speed.  If you are on foot be aware of the bikes, though proper trail etiquette requires that they yield to hikers.
