Geocache Description:



The question of what makes people happy has been discussed and pursued since ancient times, and its pursuit has even been guaranteed by our forefathers in the U.S. Constitution.  Despite happiness' long history of importance and its assurance by our political foundations, few of us truly appreciate just how we can increase our happiness or understand how to go about doing it. Why are some people happier than others? And how can we achieve happiness?     
 
First, it's important to understand that some people are naturally happy. Although the exact level will vary from individual to individual, it appears that up to about 50 percent of our happiness levels are preset by genetics or our environment (called our happiness set-point). But that’s good, because it also means that about 40 to 50 percent of our happiness is within our power to raise or lower. In the following series of caches, each cache will focus on a specific idea to living a happier life. 
 
To unlock this key of happiness, you are looking for a foot-long PVC pipe. This cache is located at one of the Mud Lake Trail heads.   Mud Lake Trail consists of eight miles of mountain biking trails, including both single-track and double-track. The trails are located three miles north of Rhinelander, off of Crystal Lake Road. In addition to mountain bikers, bird-watchers, hikers, and snowshoers are also welcome.
