In October 2012 we placed a cache here called Slow Down. The theme was to take your time on a wander on the quieter side of the gentle stream. Soon after, Alien Kiwis kindly warned us that the stream was not always gentle, but we kept the cache as there was no other better place for it.
In April 2013, the weather bomb was more than even the locals had anticipated. We visited, then archived the cache because the gentle stream was a raging torrent and water was well over the banks.
Then, a week ago, the original cache was found by bumandworker. We were amazed as there is still signs of the damage to the banks. The cache was sodden and full of silt but still there. We picked it up, cleaned it a bit, added a new log…
So it is back – with a new name.
At first we were afraid.... (that the cache had gone)
We grew strong and learned to get along
But now its back.... (well it never really went but)
We just walked in, to find it here... (after bumandworker)
Go on now, go, walk out that door.... (take your GPS)
And if you feel like dropping in .... (the cache should be there)
Because It Did Survive.
Find it while its there – and please no trackables in the cache just in case….
