Geocache Description:

Welcome to Dugualla State Park

This little-known gem of a park was in desperate need of revealing!

Visiting Dugualla State Park will truly give you a view of pristine island country on Whidbey Island. This state park was acquired by Island County and Deception Pass State Park in 1992, and is largely undeveloped, giving you solitude and peace in a natural setting.

The area offers several miles of trails that meander through an alder grove and wetland area. As a bonus, there is a challenging, steep trek to a secluded beach south of Dugualla Bay. Please note that it can get muddy in certain areas and you may also find nettles on the trail sides.

You will not need a parking pass for this park. Simply park at the end of Sleeper Road for easy access to the cache & trail head. If you do opt for venturing into the park, enjoy! Check out the caches in and nearby as well :)

A special thanks to crouchcrew for helping with the coordinates & LibLabLady for offering a wonderful link to a special write up on this area of Dugualla State Park, Be sure to check it out!
