This is the second cache in my "Airport Series." The cache is located near the Monterey Regional Airport. I decided to place the cache where I did because you can see airplanes landing all day right from this spot. The Airport's main active runways are only a few hundred yards away from the cache. Look up the hill to the southwest and thats where the runway starts. The airplanes will be very low right where the cache is placed so you will have a great view.
The cache is a model airplane of the "MD-80". The MD-80 is a popular regional jet used by many airlines. There are several MD-80's that take off and land out of Monterey. If you are there at the right time, you could see one! The airplane is magnetically attached to something and there is a small log but no room for a pen so bring your own!
