Stan and Martha Koeller know how to find geocaches.
They have averaged over five caches a day across seven years of caching. that's a staggering 160 caches, on average per month. They found over three thousand caches in 2011 alone.
They have found caches on every single one of the 366 calendar days of the year.
They have found at least one of every difficulty / terrain combo on the grid, including 27 5/5 caches, 75 difficulty five and 109 terrain five caches.
In straight line distance, they have traveled over 170,000 miles, and as we all know, we don't travel in straight line miles.
170,000 Miles! That's over half the distance to the moon or nearly seven times around the Earth.
In those miles, they've made it to three countries and 34 states plus the District of Columbia, encompassing 452 US counties.
They have also hidden 76 caches and most of us have had the pleasure of finding a number of those caches. They are always well done caches.
They have reached into themselves and on several occasions as the Southeast Missouri Geocachers organization gets it's wings gathered up, helped above and beyond any simple expectations.
