Geocache Description:

This micro cache is placed behind a coffee shop in Creemore that is located in the old Bank of Toronto building, which was built back in 1896 when the town of Creemore was only fifty years old. This hundred year old building still showcases some of the original features of the bank, such as: the vault turned dishwashing station, the 16 foot ceilings with original molded tin tiles and the glass entry vestibule.

This cache is also located just beside the town’s horticultural garden, which has this gorgeous outdoor fountain depicting children playing dress up and dancing together and lots of sunny benches and tables where one can just ‘stop and smell the flowers’.

Just behind the cache location you will find a public access hall, directly in the center of town actually, that is designed based on the old railway station from back in 1861. This train, later known as the Hog special, used to travel from rural areas to Toronto carrying loads of timber and farm animals. Nowadays, however, the hall is used mainly for town events and the summer farmer’s market.

This micro cache is located behind the cafe in a small magnetic key holder covered in duct tape. I have talked to the cafe owner and she is aware of the cache, but watch out for muggles as that area is pretty high traffic, especially on Saturdays, as people are walking to the market and the town garden next door.

First to find was technically my boyfriend, as I send him to find my hides to test their spot, but since he doesn’t log his finds it doesn’t matter too much –the FTF spot on here is just waiting to be filled.

Parking is available all seasons and food/shopping are quite close. Just don’t forget a pen, happy searching!!
