Peace Park, aka the Baudette Rest Area, is a 6.1 acre plot of land that used to be part of Baudette known as Old Town. While you're in the park, you may want to walk around to find the two marked graves, left from the days when this area was a cemetery.
This cache is one of a series of Lake of the Woods County History Caches being developed to memorialize events, locations, and people from Lake of the Woods County's past. Each cache contains several copies of a leaflet explaining some of the history of the area. Feel free to collect one of these from each cache–no trade necessary.
