The enclosed cultural town of Artà, with its maze of steep narrow roads leading up to the medieval fortress walls of the church of Sant Salvador, lies in the northeast of the island of Majorca, around 60km from the island's capital of Palma. The terrace of the fortress offers a panoramic view of the coast and the hills, the almond orchards, olive groves and fortified Gothic parish church. The town also offers a quaint main pedestrian street lined with restaurants, bars and shops.
Cache location:
Walk to the end of the main pedestrian street, Carrera Major, away from the Sanctuary. You should have a view of the Sanctuary, a shop called Vestals to the left and la Caixa to the right. Take a seat on the bench and ponder what’s nearby.
Parking:
Can park along the main Av. De Costa i Llobera, because most of the smaller streets are too narrow to park along.
Note: Please bring a pen or pencil to sign the logbook
