This is the 6th in my "I remember" mini series in North Delta. For this one, I remember when this area was off-limits to the public, when it was a gravel operation in the 1970's and earlier. I also remember biking into here with my young son, the mini lake was here, even back then.
For many years, this area was left as it was...unsightly and dangerous. A scar on the environment. It has certainly changed the past few years, into a beautiful local community. I have been waiting for two years for the housing around the water, and the park itself, to be completed...so I could hide this cache. This is a beautiful new park now, still with the water, and now a fountain, playground, mini basketball court and a nice walkway through the natural area around the water. Parking can be difficult at times and muggles can be a problem. Please use stealth, fold log and baggie to fit back in....thank you. Have fun, enjoy the area and view. Please...as with all caches, fold log nicely and zip the baggie... replace exactly where you found it, so it can't be seen.
