The cache is hidden in the new Yuba City Parkway nature area [which is open during daylight hours only]. It will require a walk of about .15 miles on gravel roads. Simply follow the directions below. There is a stamp in the cache, or you can bring one of your own. The combo for the golden padlock is 1776. Be careful when stepping down into the grotto. It can be slippery, and there are vines to trip on or bang your head against.
1. At the starting coordinates you should be on a gravel road, facing north.
2. Drive north for about .21 miles... past a turn-off on your right, past a sign that advises "Speed Limit 5," and past a "Road Narrows" sign with a glimpse of a mural behind it...until reaching a yellow gate on your right. Park here.
3. From the gate, walk NE on the gravel road for about 25 yards until reaching a fork, take the left branch and proceed north.
4. Walk about 160 yards until reaching a tall oak on your left with a lengthy burn slash on its trunk. At this point turn left onto the sandy track.
5. Walk past a double cottonwood on your right, past an oak on your right, until reaching a large dead tree that is covered with grape vines.
6. Step down into the grotto under the tree, and find the cache three or four yards south of the tree.
