William Henry Harrison previously was the Minister to Colombia.  His presidency lasted one month, and is the shortest of any US presidential service.  His inauguration speech has the record for being the longest at 8,578 words.  It lasted one hour and 40 minutes.  He gave the speech in bad weather, and he died from penumonia.
